Job Summary: 

Responsible for the operation of daily performance of the Radiology Department.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Ability to select, train, motivate and develop subordinates as well as maintain department budget.
  2. Advises the senior management on Diagnostic technology initiatives and serves as a resource to departments and committees.
  1. Provides direction for the Radiologic staff in managing the day to day operations of Radiology.
  2. Oversees Joint Commission, TDH, regulatory, and unit compliance, maintaining a smooth functioning healthcare team and also serves as senior Radiologist Technologist advisor.
  3. Coordinates and provides direct patient care in a timely effective manner in collaboration with other healthcare team members.

Education: 

  • Graduate of a recognized, approved American Medical Association Council of Education program in radiologic technology; bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred.

Licensure:

  1. Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists; Certification by A.R.R.T on Computed Tomography or registry eligible. 
  2. BLS Required

Skills:

  • Knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
  • Ability to recognize subtle differences between healthy and pathological areas.
  • Must possess a positive and courteous attitude and take the initiative to go beyond what is expected in a teamwork environment.
