As a Technical Designer at Centric Brands, you'll be applying your extensive experience to enhance the Sports and Entertainment brand collections: Game Seven, Contenders, Palm Tree, and East Side Golf. Your role will involve overseeing and leading fit development from 1st proto to SMS stages, ensuring the garments meet both design and production standards. Seeking a collaborative team player working closely with design and cross-functional teams to bring the vision to life, while managing workload and meeting calendar deadlines to deliver the best product possible. Specific Responsibilities Would Include
The Senior Technical Designer will manage and oversee and lead fit development from 1st proto to SMS stages, ensuring the garments meet both design and production standards. Seeking a collaborative team player working closely with design and cross-functional teams to bring the vision to life, while managing workload and meeting calendar deadlines to deliver the best product possible.
Responsibilities:
The Technical Designer will work directly with Men's and Women's Design and cross-functional teams to execute vision while achieving impeccable fit, construction and design aesthetics.
  • Partner with design team to achieve aesthetic while adhering to a production time and action calendar
  • Collaborate with the Sourcing, Product Development and other cross-functional partners to land on appropriate fit and functional intent for each product design
  • Work to establish block digitized standards for continuous category silhouettes that can be shared with vendors to establish consistency and quality
  • Manage all technical requirements to develop and execute processes from product development to production, offering insight on opportunities to improve pattern and yield utilization
  • Create and maintain detailed tech packs including specs, tolerances, grading, detail sketches with construction/stitching and fit evaluation comments
  • Conduct fit sessions on live models and mannequins to evaluate samples for fit, measurement, construction, pattern shaping and functionality
  • Provide technical direction, internally and externally, on corrective actions needed to bring samples to brand fit and styling
  • Issue grading guidelines to vendors after fit approval
  • Measure and evaluate garments from proto sample through SMS samples
  • Maintain close partnership with production teams to maintain on-time delivery throughout the pre-production process and proactively monitor seasonal workload
  • Scale and size art with design team to ensure placement and optimal art sizing based on product size range

Our Best Fit Candidate Would Have
  • Experience in Mens Lifestyle Design (Women's experience a plus)
  • Knowledge of pattern making, highly detailed construction, industry fit knowledge and grading
  • Comprehensive understanding of product engineering, development, and manufacturing
  • Ability to lead fittings, take detailed and accurate notes
  • High accuracy in math skills for correct spec revisions
  • Proficiency in Flex PLM, Adobe products, Microsoft Office a plus
  • Superior organizational and written communication skills; team oriented
  • Ability to work in a fast pace, high performance environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and accountability for workload.
  • Excellent time management skills and effectively prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
  • Graduate with degree in Fashion Technical Design / Patternmaking
  • 7+ years working in technical design in the Fashion Industry

Salary Range: $78,000 - $110,000

Our job postings include an annual base salary range at the time of employment. The stated base salary range represents our good faith estimate as to what candidates are likely to expect, and we tailor our offers within the range based on several factors, including the selected candidate's educational and professional experience, industry knowledge, location, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the selection process. Base salary is a part of a total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, annual bonus and other Centric Brands sponsored benefit programs.
