Within this setting, The Fred and Dinah Gretsch School of Music offers student-centered degree programs at the bachelor's and master's level. Our mission is to provide opportunities for studying and making music within the context of a liberal arts education; to prepare students for careers in music-related fields; to enhance the cultural life of the campuses and surrounding region; and to contribute to the preservation and expansion of our rich musical tradition through performance, composition, education, research, and music industry. Students are mentored by a faculty of dedicated teacher-scholars, who are nationally and internationally known in their fields of expertise.
Job Summary
The Gretsch School of Music is now accepting applications for a pool of part time instructors for the 2026-2027 academic year.
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate courses in music education.
- Applicants may be asked to teach in various modalities (face-to-face, hybrid, and online).
Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Earned masters degree in music education or a closely related field, with at least 18 graduate semester hours in music education
- At least 3 years experience teaching P-12 music
Preferred Qualifications
- Elementary general music and/or choral music experience
Proposed Salary
Commensurate with experience.
This is an exempt position paid on a monthly basis.
