Job Summary/Basic Function
Support residential student success by providing a safe and conducive living-learning environment. This position reports directly to the Director of Residence Life and serves as a member of the Student Affairs division. Successful candidates will demonstrate excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, motivation, supervision and administrative skills in a dynamic and engaging organization. This is a 12-month, approximately 25-hour per week, live-in position. This position requires additional overnight and weekend coverage for on-call responsibilities. The position includes basic healthcare benefits and meal plan when dining services is open. On-campus apartment with at least one bedroom and full kitchen provided. Typical start date is on or about July 5 and continues until graduation. Previous Residence Life experience is valuable.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Enrollment in a program at Shepherd University or similar graduate program.
  • Required to live on-campus to serve as a visible role model and serve in an on-call/on-duty rotation to support residential students.
  • Must remain in remain in good standing with the University, adhering to the conduct outlined in the Student Handbook and the Residence Life Manual

Prior Residence Life experience is valuable.
