General Description
The purpose of this position is to assist in the promotion of the College of Education and Human Development's graduate programs and the recruitment of students through content coordination of the associated communication and social media.
Essential Job Duties
1. Respond to all potential students in a timely manner through assigned communication mediums, specifically electronic communication & social media.
2. Collaborate with CEHD Graduate Studies staff as well as other departments across campus to help facilitate the creation of digital content.
3. Help keep graduate student recruitment and retention materials up to date.
4. Collaborate with CEHD Graduate Studies staff to manage, clean up, and organize the electronic file structure, including advising and other office files.
Other related duties as assigned.

Enrollment in a UM graduate degree program
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Ability an maturity to handle/maintain confidentiality at all times;
  • Strong verbal and written professional communication skills;
  • Ability to work both in a team setting and independently;
  • Ability to respond in a customer-service-type role to messages and inquiries in a timely manner;
  • Ability to maintain a positive, professional and collegial attitude at all times;
  • Knowledge and experience using multiple social media platforms, preferably in a marketing and communications capacity; and
  • Proficiency with social media platforms and Canva for design.
