Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Graduate Assistant within Pediatric Hematology/Oncology - Pediatric Population Science at the Rutgers Cancer Institute.
The primary purpose of the Graduate Assistant is to work under the direction of the Principal Investigator. The Graduate Assistant will support research focused on improving health outcomes for children, adolescents, and families impacted by pediatric cancer and sickle cell disease. The Graduate Assistant will work on research investigating the psychosocial aspects of pediatric, adolescent, and young adult cancer survivorship. The Graduate Assistant will also conduct study tasks, manages data, and performs other research tasks under direct supervision of the Principal Investigator. Additionally, the Graduate Assistant drafts written reports for inclusion in manuscripts and grant proposals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
  • Works under direction of the Principal Investigator.
  • Assists in data collection and data management.
  • Possesses effective oral and written communication skills and the ability to publish scientific research papers and articles.
  • Understands and adheres to Rutgers' compliance standards as they appear in RBHS's Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy. Understands, demonstrates and models the Rutgers Cancer Institute core values.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
