Current State of Connecticut Coach Certificate

  • Plan and conduct inclusive practices that accommodate athletes of varying abilities and skill levels.
  • Coach and supervise Unified Sports practices, competitions, and team activities.
  • Teach fundamental sport skills, rules, strategies, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

  • Develop positive relationships with student-athletes, families, school staff, and community partners.
  • Coordinate with school administrators, special education staff, athletic department personnel, and other coaches.
