Job description

Virginia Wesleyan University, a NCAA Division III institution and a member of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference, is accepting applications for a Women's Lacrosse Graduate Assistant. Virginia Wesleyan is located in Virginia Beach, VA, and sponsors 24 varsity sports teams, supporting almost 500 student-athletes.

The qualified applicant will report to the Head Women's Lacrosse Coach. The individual will assist with all aspects of the Women's Lacrosse program including recruitment of quality student-athletes, scheduling, managing and coaching games, planning as well as conducting practices. This individual will also be organizing team travel, monitoring student-athletes' academic progress, equipment maintenance, fundraising and other administrative duties assigned by the Head Coach. Additionally, a thorough understanding of and accountability to NCAA, Old Dominion Athletic Conference and institutional rules and regulations is necessary.

Review of applications will begin immediately. This is a graduate assistant position. A Bachelor's degree is required. Tuition remission for graduate programs is included as well as a stipend.  Preference will be given to applicants with college coaching experience and/or experience as a college lacrosse student-athlete. Must possess a valid driver's license and be insurable by the college's auto insurance carrier.
