Job description

Heritage Hall is currently seeking an experienced Activities Assistant for our King George, VA facility!
 
Job Description:
The Activities Assistant assists the Activities Director as needed, including with the development and implementation of activities programs for the residents.  They assist in directing and teaching the planned activities; visit residents on a regular basis to encourage participation in activities; and assist them with various needs.
Part time hours with every other weekend required.
Position Requirements:
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have a valid Virginia driver’s license
  • Licensed as an Activities Professional is preferred
  • Experience in directing individual and group activities is preferred
  • Experience in long-term care is preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively with various types of people
  • Ability to understand both written and verbal instructions
