Responsibilities

  • Prepare surfaces by digging, grading, removing old pavement, cleaning surfaces, etc.
  • Shovel, spread, rake, and smooth hot asphalt to the proper grade and thickness.
  • Operate hand tools such as rakes, shovels, tampers, brooms, and plate compactors.
  • Assist with operating pavement saws and other construction equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and safe job site throughout the workday.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions

  • Follow verbal and written instructions while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Work effectively as part of a team.

Qualifications

  • Construction or asphalt paving experience is preferred but not required.
