Job description

Description:

As a K-8th Grade substitute, you will be responsible for carrying out the sub-plans as directed by the lead teacher in the classroom, and supervising the class of students throughout the day. Some of these tasks include: greeting students as they arrive; supervising children during activities such as lunch, recess, specials (as needed), classroom lessons and activities; making sure children are safe at all times of the day through active participation, observation and intervening when necessary, and/or when asked to by the administration; interacting with all students and staff with kindness and respect.

Requirements:

Individual staff members will need to pass multiple background checks, as well as complete necessary paperwork and training in order to be in the K-8th Grade classrooms. Training will be completed on an online service titled PDIS and staff members will be compensated for their time to do so. We would like to fill this position within a month. There are no benefits associated with this job as it is part-time.
