Job description

Grace Reliant's growing Grace Coffee & Cafe team is looking to invite a part-time Shift Lead to help empower our individuals with developmental disabilities as they transition into competitive employment that aligns with the heart and voice of our organization. We exist to help people live more complete and independent lives. Through our many services we provide care, support, and mentorship to elderly and disabled residents in Missouri.
The purpose of a Grace Coffee & Cafe Shift Lead is to help the Assistant Manager with the day-to-day duties of running the cafe and helping to create a fun and inviting environment for our staff and consumers.


Hours for this part-time role would be daytime hours and some evenings. The ideal candidate would have Saturday availability as well.

Job Responsibilities

  • Greet customers in a friendly manner. Take food and drink orders, take payment from customers, prepare and serve beverages and food items
  • Maintain inventory and equipment by cleaning, troubleshooting and reporting needed repairs to the Assistant Manager
  • Provide on-going support to Baristas including job coaching, skill training and job training.
  • Perform assigned opening and/or closing tasks
  • Collect data and maintain records as required by the state and Grace Reliant Health Services
  • Log case notes for supported employment services delivered
  • Maintain certifications in First Aid and CPR
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Previous restaurant management experience
  • Short order cooking experience
  • Ability to relate to a wide range of individuals
  • A team player
  • Safe Serve Certification or equivalent
  • Ability to bend, reach and lift
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong commitment to customer service
