  • The Village Cafe features grab and go items so you can eat on the run and get back to the fun. Yogurts, sandwiches, specialty coffee drinks and pastries await your indulgence, along with an assortment of beverages, frozen foods, and snacks. ROLE

The dishwasher is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of dishes, tableware, cooking utensils, and the kitchen, keep the dish area cleaned and organized and help support overall kitchen efficiency.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Safely washes plates, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans by hand or using an industrial dishwasher
  • Sorts, stacks, and properly store all clean items in designated areas
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment by sweeping floors, wiping down counters and emptying trash containers
  • Clean and maintain the dishwashing machine, changing water and cleaning filters as required and necessary
  • Assist with food preparation, unloading delivery trucks and stocking supplies as needed
  • Participates as an employee in producing a smoothly and efficiently run dining experience.
  • Assists other employees with maintenance (side work, opening/closing duties) as necessary.


Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Required Clark County Health Card
  • A gracious, friendly, patient and helpful attitude towards guests
  • Flexible schedule with full availability on nights and weekends
  • Working knowledge of food and beverage laws and regulations
  • Ability to stand for long periods, bend, and lift objects (often up to 50 lbs.)
  • Knowledge or willingness to learn proper food safety regulations and the safe handling of cleaning chemicals 
  • Strong communication and willingness to assist other kitchen staff during busy shifts
