Job Description:

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, test, debug, and integrate software for advanced Navigation Systems.
  • Design and implement software using MATLAB/Simulink, C, and Python.
  • Perform software and system integration on mission-critical hardware platforms.
  • Develop and evaluate navigation algorithms, including INS/GPS Kalman Filters.
  • Participate in Agile software development and Model-Based Engineering (MBE) environments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver innovative defense solutions.
  • Support software verification, validation, testing, and system performance analysis.
  • Translate software requirements into robust software designs and implementations.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline with:
  • 5+ years of software development experience (Principal), or
  • 8+ years of software development experience (Senior Principal)
  • Hands-on experience with MATLAB/Simulink.
  • Strong programming skills in C and Python.
  • Experience using Git, Jira, ClearCase, or ClearQuest.
  • Experience developing models and simulations using MATLAB and Simulink.
  • Experience with Navigation Systems and INS/GPS Kalman Filter design.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance.
  • Experience with Sensor Fusion using IMU, GPS, barometers, and related sensors.
  • Expertise in Embedded INS/GPS Navigation Systems.
  • Experience with DOORS for requirements management.
  • Experience developing DO-178B/C compliant safety-critical software.
  • Experience with communication protocols including MIL-STD-1553, ARINC-429, and RS-422.
  • Experience using Poly space, LDRA, and Vector Cast.
  • Strong software testing, verification, and certification experience.
