Job Description Manager, Workday Integrations Engineering & Architecture Employee role, Metro Dallas, TX RedStream Technology is searching for a Manager, Workday Integrations Engineering & Architecture, to join our client's team as an employee. Our client is a leader in the automotive industry. The person in this role will be leading a team of integration developers who design, build, and maintain secure, scalable data bridges between Workday and third-party systems.

This role is the primary technical authority for all Workday integration patterns and the Workday Extend framework, ensuring that enterprise-grade automation and custom applications are delivered with the highest standards of quality, security, and performance. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Workday integration and Extend engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement. Provide technical direction and architectural oversight to the integration development team, setting standards and creating common practices.

Establish and govern architecture standards, patterns, and best practices across the Workday ecosystem for integration development and Workday Extend solutions. Translate business requirements from functional and operational stakeholders into detailed technical specifications covering data mapping, transformation rules, and security configurations. Lead the design and development of custom Workday Extend applications and user interfaces (UI), extending Workday's native capabilities to meet unique business needs.

Enforce protocol and file transmission standards (SFTP, PGP encryption, AS2, REST/HTTPS, OAuth 2.0) across all integration touchpoints. Champion DevSecOps best practices within the integration lifecycle, including version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, peer code review, and secure credential management. Own end-to-end Workday Integration testing, including bi-annual Workday feature release readiness: impact assessment, and feature evaluation

Own the overall health, reliability, and performance of the Workday integration ecosystem, including SLA adherence for business-critical integrations. Manage the end-to-end relationship with third-party and integrated system teams, coordinating API changes, deprecations, and compatibility updates. Ensure all integrations adhere to enterprise data security policies, regulatory requirements, audit logging and Workday security governance standards within the integration layer.

Coordinate with third-party vendors and integration partners on security assessments, data sharing agreements, and compliance validation. Application Engineering Coordinate API contracts, data models, and system-of-record ownership; partner on Workday Extend application delivery. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: 7+ years of direct experience overseeing enterprise application integrations in a lead or management role directly overseeing integration developers, with demonstrated accountability for integration health and stability.

5+ years of hands-on experience designing, building, and maintaining Workday integrations using Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, and Workday APIs. 5+ years of experience leading technical teams, career development, and cross-functional collaboration. Demonstrated experience architecting and governing end-to-end integration frameworks within a large, complex Workday tenant environment.

Familiarity with Workday HCM, Payroll, Benefits, or Financial Management functional areas. Knowledge of SOX, HIPAA, or compliance requirements as applied to HR/Finance data integrations. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS: Workday Integration Toolset: Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, Workday REST/SOAP APIs, Orchestrate, Document Transformation. Workday Extend: Experience designing and building custom applications and UI components using the Workday Extend framework. Data Formats & Protocols: XML, XSLT, JSON, CSV; SFTP, HTTPS/REST, AS2, PGP/GPG encryption.

Security: OAuth 2.0, ISU configuration, Workday security domain management, data encryption standards. DevSecOps: Git/version control, CI/CD pipeline concepts, code review practices, environment promotion governance. Data Management: Strong understanding of data mapping, transformation logic, data conversion, and migration methodologies

CERTIFICATIONS: Workday Pro Certification - Integrations (required) Workday Pro Certification - Extend (strongly preferred) Workday Pro Certification - HCM or Financial Management (a plus)
