Job description

Overview
We are looking for an Angular expert and web designer to join our team of product owners and domain experts to drive the functionality of our web-based Unmanned Space Cost Model (USCM). Our goal is to provide intuitive, efficient, and clean experiences for our users. If you're passionate about software development and user experience, and have proven track record, we would love to hear from you. The ability to successfully research and apply modern technologies, techniques, and security principles is fundamental to the position. This is a mid-level role that involves working closely with a team of analysts and developers to deliver first-class data-driven website solutions. May sit in our Los Angles or Santa Barbara offices.
Responsibilities
  • Work directly with customers, product managers, analysts, other developers, QA, and end-users to ensure we are delivering the desired functionality while maintaining high-quality user experience and consistent look and feel for our Unmanned Space Cost Model (USCM) product line
  • Implement features using Angular and C#
  • Become an expert in our applications and domain
  • Monitor, implement, and maintain security policies and protocols for the systems
  • Work closely with designers to develop creative UI/UX concepts for style-focused websites, enterprise web applications, and more
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum process and code reviews to meet sprint release schedules
  • Web and Database deployment activities such as server configuration, scripting and documentation, and CI/CD processes
  • Automation for building, testing, deployment
  • Occasional presentations to customers on requirements, design, completed work
  • Act mindfully of applicable software technologies and trends, and integrate them into our products
  • Manage time in a deadline-driven, government-customer focused, team environment
  • Help to mentor junior developers
  • Salary range: $90,000-$120,00 (commensurate with experience, qualifications, and credentials)

Skills Required
  • Bachelor's degree required with 5-10 years of relevant experience
  • Experience with data-driven design (analytics analysis) is a plus
  • Experience working with the Federal Government, Departments of Defense or Homeland Security, not necessary, but beneficial
  • The ability to obtain and maintain proper security clearance required
  • U.S. citizenship required
  • Advanced knowledge and experience in Angular, HTML, CSS, and C# required
  • Working knowledge of SQL and database concepts to communicate with back-end developers desired
  • Familiarity with source control systems (e.g., Azure DevOps Server, TFS, Git, RedGate, etc.) required
  • Some experience using Figma or an equivalent mockup/wire-framing application desired
  • Experience with government security policies like ICAM is a plus
  • Portfolio that demonstrates talent and skill designing web applications beneficial

Education
A bachelor's degree in computer science (or other relevant concentration) required. An additional three years of directly relevant software development experience may substitute for the degree requirement.
