OVERVIEWย 

Union Home Mortgageโ€™s L.E.A.D Internship Programโ€™s goal is to provide a fun, interesting, and real-world environment for our interns to Learn about the industry, be Educated by Sr. Leadership and their peers, Achieve their personal goals and Develop their skills and knowledge base. We pride ourselves in providing innovative programs for our interns in order for them to learn and grow they progress through their careers. Some of the programs we offer include: shadowing, mentoring, professional development, group projects and we even take our interns on corporate outings! Our internship program gives students a chance to meet new people, gain more experience, and learn from the best in the business! Our interns are treated like full-time Partners who work 40 hours a week during the 3-month summer program, are compensated, and based out of headquarters in Strongsville, Ohio.ย 

The Partner Services Specialist Intern is responsible for three main areas within the Infrastructure IT organization: Partner hardware/software provisioning & decommission. The Partner Services Specialist Intern will work with full members of the team who own the new partner and termed partner processes and be responsible for tasks related to end user computing including building, deploying, maintaining, upgrading and recovering laptops and peripherals. Equipment requests. The Partner Services Specialist Intern will help manage the fulfillment of all hardware and software requests submitted to IT. Asset & Inventory control.ย  This role will assist the team in owning all Inventory & Asset Management for the company including control of assets within the Strongsville Inventory Control Center (SICC) and deployed remotely in branch/home offices.ย 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.ย ย 

  • Image, build and install pcโ€™s (laptops) in accordance with department standards (new partner process) and decommissioning including reclamation of old assets (termed partner process)ย 

  • Identify potential changes and process improvements to present to senior management for consideration and implementationย 

  • Manage inventory control center and tracking of all assets companywide including remote assetsย 

  • Ensure work is carried out within agreed service levels and in accordance with department guidelinesย 

  • Work closely with System Admins and Engineers to determine next generation platforms; leading implementation activities related to end user computing device upgradesย 

  • Assist in managing hardware and software โ€˜equipmentโ€™ request fulfillment processย 

  • Collaborates with colleagues regarding incidents related to pc environmentย

  • Must be a team player with excellent customer service skills and communication skills (both oral and written), attention to detail, comprehensive problem solving and troubleshooting skillsย

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCEย 

  • Pursuing a 2-year or 4-year college degree in a technology related field, or equivalentย
