Salary: $15.00 per hour

HANOVER TOWNSHIP - COMMUNITY RELATIONS INTERN


The Hanover Township Office of Community Affairs is seeking a Summer Community Relations Intern. Individuals will build their resume while gaining first-hand knowledge of Township government operations.

Candidates must be a current student pursuing a degree in Mass Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Graphic Design, Political Science or a related field.

This position requires someone who is strong in writing and demonstrates excellent verbal communication skills. Candidates must have strong analytical, quantitative, problem solving and conceptual skills, be detail oriented and able to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines. They must also be able to work independently or in a team setting.

The ideal candidate will assist in the creation of digital and print promotional content, assist in planning Township events, represent the Township at community events, draft weekly e-newsletters, conduct light research and writing for officials and staff, as well as perform duties as assigned by staff.

Understanding of Canva, Mailchimp, Adobe software, and social media channels is recommended but not required.

This non-exempt position is scheduled for 15-20 hours per week, including some nights and weekends, with a pay rate of $15.00 per hour.
