Position Overview

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking an experienced Senior Buyer to support a high-volume aerospace and defense procurement organization. This role is responsible for managing complex purchasing activities, supplier selection, source documentation, contract compliance, and procurement execution in support of government and military aerospace programs.

The ideal candidate has strong government purchasing experience, extensive knowledge of FAR/DFARS regulations, and experience working within SAP or ERP systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct supplier sourcing and market research in accordance with FAR, DFARS, and company procedures.

  • Review purchase requisitions and develop solicitation packages.

  • Analyze supplier quotes, proposals, and pricing.

  • Prepare procurement summaries and source selection documentation.

  • Perform price analysis using:

    • Competitive bids

    • Historical pricing

    • Market research

    • Approved procurement methodologies

  • Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and contract terms.

  • Issue and administer purchase orders and subcontract modifications.

  • Maintain procurement documentation suitable for government audits.
