Job description

Position Summary

LCI is seeking a Prgram Manager that will direct strategies to counter lifecycle obsolescence in hardware, software, and electronic components on military platforms. Will be expected to lead and steers cross-functional Integrated Program Teams (IPTs) to secure continuous production and sustainment while balancing program risks, cost baselines, and delivery schedules to safeguard critical weapon systems and platforms against early lifecycle termination.


Individual must be able to attain and maintain a valid US Government security clearance to be retained in the position.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provides Strategic Obsolescence Planning
  • Develop and execute comprehensive DMSMS Management Plans (DMPs) across full product lifecycles.
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams through proactive forecasting, predictive tool analysis, and system health assessments.
  • Formulate technical and non-technical mitigation options, including lifetime buys, alternate sourcing, and system redesigns.
  • Provides Cross-Functional and Vendor Leadership
  • Direct Integrated Program Teams consisting of engineering, global supply chain, and contracts personnel.Manage external suppliers to enforce DMSMS compliance and monitor their execution of funded risk-mitigation efforts.
  • Coordinate with Program Management Offices (PMOs) to align engineering changes with customer requirements.
  • Contractual & Financial Governance
  • Shape and negotiate Statements of Work (SOW), Performance Work Statements (PWS), and Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRL).
  • Serve as the Control Account Manager (CAM) to manage integrated based budgets, schedules, and earned value metrics.
  • Evaluate financial and operational trade-offs to implement the most cost-effective lifecycle resolution strategies.
  • Risk Communication & CompliancePresent high-level executive briefs and technical status updates to program stakeholders and government entities.Audit Bills of Materials (BOMs) and configuration configurations to maintain absolute traceability and regulatory compliance.
  • Provides performance metrics
  • Provides supervision

Education & Experience Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED plus additional coursework equivalent to an Associateโ€™s degree.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant working experience.
  • Five (5) years of Program Management experience preferred.
  • National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) and a favorable Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) fingerprint check.

Skill & Certification Requirements

  • Ability to type a minimum of forty (40) words per minute with no errors.
  • CAC required.
  • Must be a US citizen.
  • Position requires sitting, for long periods of time. (Sedentary Work)
  • Most duties require extended use of a keyboard and computer monitor
  • Extended Telephone Use
  • May require lifting of 20-50 lbs
