Sales Program Manager

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a Sales Program Manager to join the Commercial Sales and Marketing team in Renton, Washington.
This position will support the Commercial Sales and Marketing team for the North America and Latin America & Caribbean regions. This critical position will play an integral role in helping support the sales team in proactively executing sales and delivery activities, work with airline executives and provide appropriate and creative solutions.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Assist Commercial Sales & Marketing through Maintaining Customer Relationships and Knowledge
  • Build and maintain relationships with airline executives, government officials, aviation constituents and Boeing Program leaders by supporting customer meetings and preparing presentation materials
  • Know customer's business strategies, operating environment, fleet plans and their ability or need to buy airplanes and services
  • Participate in customer meetings within assigned scope and responsibility
  • Provide customer event support (e.g. host VIP visitors, delivery events, factory tours, dinners, etc.)
  • Assist in the interface between the customer and internal Boeing resources to keep both apprised of key issues and concerns
  • Assists the Business Director with the business operations of the region
  • Provide Campaign Support and Create Preference for Boeing Products and Services
  • Understand the airplane selection process and assist in the development of customer solutions; analyze customer needs and available resources to recommend areas of alignment and integration
  • Gather and analyze relevant information (e.g. political environment and competitive assessment) from internal and external sources to support strategy development and alignment across the Boeing enterprise
  • Research, review and analyze information about competitors' products and services to develop a comprehensive understanding (breadth and depth) of specific competitor activities and their impact on company strategy to improve our competitive position
  • Capture and document specific campaign information related to customer business needs, culture, requirements, and economic and environmental influences by researching available resources, web-sites and publications
  • Support the preparation of proposals and execution of campaign strategies; develop themes, discriminators, cost estimates, executive summaries and pricing to ensure customer requirements are met and to improve our competitive position
  • Obtain commitment and approval from internal stakeholders to support changes during the negotiation process
  • Monitor proposal status to ensure timely responses
  • Assist lead negotiator throughout the business negotiation process to help secure customer commitments
  • Develop customer solutions; coordinate and integrate with internal and external processes and divisions to provide a competitive advantage and to foster business growth with acceptable margins
  • Assist Business Director with Various Management Projects and Tasks
  • Assist in the gathering of data and preparation of management requested materials
  • Develop and assemble documentation of data and presentations to support management reviews and regional offsites
  • Facilitate regional staff meetings and monitor weekly reports

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work in Renton, Washington.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • 7+ years of experience in airline/aviation environment
  • 3+ years of experience in business operations of the organization such as preparations for meetings, executive visits, offsite presentations and special events
  • Experience with the selling process, integrated planning, managing statement of work
  • Experience leading through influence and partnering with cross-functional teams on projects and initiatives
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, Word, , PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams
  • Able to work a flexible schedule (early mornings, late evenings, weekends, holidays and overnights as needed) in order to support sales teams while on travel
  • Bachelor's degree or higher

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • 10+ years of experience in airline/aviation environment
  • Masters in technical or business field
  • Experience interfacing with senior and executive leadership
  • Experience managing competitive domestic or international sales campaigns
  • Advance level of technical and business acumen
  • Strong financial acumen- familiar with the Pricing and Revenue Management System (PaRMS)
