Job description

ND Defense is growing, and we're building our Program Management Team.

Are you a Program Manager with government contract experience ready to own a variety of programs โ€” tactical wheeled vehicles, maritime, aerospace, electronics, drones, commercial vehicles, and more? Do challenges sharpen your focus? Are you always looking for better processes, better tools, better ways to organize work? This role was built for you!

What You'll Do

You'll own the full program lifecycle โ€” planning, execution, stakeholder management, and performance reporting โ€” across multiple concurrent defense and commercial programs. That means developing and maintaining Integrated Master Schedules, managing Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS), and leading Integrated Product Teams across engineering, supply chain, operations, and quality as the primary interface with customers. You'll bring the organization and people skills to push an IPT beyond what they thought possible โ€” and when things get complicated, you'll be the one who drives the team across the finish line.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong program management skills with demonstrated success leading complex programs of full cross-functional teams to meet or exceed program objectives.
  • 5โ€“7 years of progressive program management experience in automotive, manufacturing, or a related industry
  • Minimum 2 years of defense program management experience, including DoD acquisition lifecycle, DFARS requirements, and government contract types
  • Scheduling: IMS, Critical Path, DCMA 14 point analysis
  • EVMS, Financial Budget Management
  • SDRL/CDRL deliverables
  • Risk management and mitigation
  • Scope management
  • Experience managing programs valued at $5M+ across multiple concurrent initiatives
  • PMP certification strongly preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, or related field required
  • Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR (22 CFR ยง 120.15)

Who Thrives Here

You pivot quickly, are comfortable solving problems without a playbook or a map, and bring genuine teamwork and a positive attitude to everything you do. You're a builder who wants to put structure in place and watch it scale โ€” and you're looking for a company where your work actually matters.

What We Offer

Hybrid schedule with 3โ€“4 days on-site and every other Friday off, generous PTO and paid holidays, a comprehensive benefits package, and a team that shows up for each other and gets results.

If you meet the qualifications and want to be part of something growing, we'd like to hear from you!
