Job description

The IT Scrum Master, Support Services will serve as a Scrum Master and Agile delivery leader within the Information Technology department. This position facilitates Agile practices across IT teams, supports the delivery of technology initiatives, and helps ensure work is aligned to business priorities and organizational goals.  

This role partners with Product Owners, stakeholders, technical teams, leadership, and external vendors to support planning, prioritization, delivery, risk management, communication, and continuous improvement. The Scrum Master promotes accountability, transparency, collaboration, and Agile best practices while helping teams remove impediments and deliver value consistently. This individual may also perform business analysis, support project intake activities, and assist with organizational change efforts as needed. 

PLEASE NOTE: this role is based full-time in our Lakewood office. Remote candidates will not be considered.

Compensation for this Role: $90,000 - $130,000 USD annually, depending on experience

Specific Responsibilities 

  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, assign tasks, oversee project progress and prepare regular reports and presentations regarding project progress and risks 

  • Track the completion of project milestones as well as scope, issues, risks and cost for each project and reports progress to the project sponsor and chief strategist 

  • Assist stakeholders working in corporate services to identify potential business process improvements, including the development of business cases to support proposed changes to business operations and processes 

  • Evaluate alternative solutions in light of business requirements, current operating processes and internal guidelines 

  • Develop business requirements and business case and/or a cost/benefit analysis as necessary 

  • Help to refine internal project management practices and the application of PMI process and knowledge areas and adheres to established project management standards

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Project Management, or related analytical and technical coursework required. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered. 
  • Three to five years of experience leading technology initiatives, facilitating Agile teams, managing projects, or supporting cross-functional business technology efforts is required.
  • Experience facilitating Scrum ceremonies, managing product backlogs, defining user stories, and supporting Agile delivery practices is highly desirable.
  • Occasional travel to Encore regional offices may also be required. 
  • Experience in the construction industry, particularly electrical contracting, along with experience implementing Information Technology solutions is preferred.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), Project Management Professional (PMP), or equivalent certifications are preferred. Experience using Azure DevOps, Jira, Teamwork.com, Miro, or similar Agile work management platforms is also preferred.
