Capgemini Government Solutions (CGS) LLC is hiring a Government Financial and Contract Analyst to support U.S. Federal Government clients in McLean, VA. This role requires strong collaboration skills and experience in military or defense contracting. You will work with finance, operations, project management, and business development teams to assess business needs, improve processes, and ensure compliance with government and defenseindustry requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

As a Government Financial and Contract Analyst you will:

  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to include internal teams: finance, operations, program management and external clients to ensure timely project milestones. Serve as a liaison between technical and non-technical teams, communicating clearly and effectively to resolve any project or contract-related challenges.
  • Requirement Gathering & Analysis Partner with internal stakeholders and external partners to define business requirements, scope project and contract deliverables, and identify process gaps. Leverage military contracting expertise to ensure alignment with defense regulations and compliance standards.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting Collect, analyze, and interpret complex data sets to provide insights on project progress, cost-benefit analyses, and resource allocation.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior leadership, highlighting key findings and actionable recommendations.
  • Process Improvement & Optimization. Assess current workflows, systems, and processes to recommend improvements that enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

  • Compliance & Contract Oversight Oversee contract documentation, ensuring compliance with military standards and government regulations. Monitor contract deliverables, deadlines, and budgets, flagging any issues and coordinating with appropriate teams to implement corrective measures.
  • Risk Assessment & Mitigation Identify potential risks associated with defense or government contracts and propose mitigation strategies. Ensure continuous alignment of projects with strategic, financial, and compliance objectives.
  • Soft Skills Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights. Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities. Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage multiple stakeholders, including government agencies.

Required Qualifications:

  • Ability to obtain a Government security clearance that requires U.S. citizenship
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Management or related field, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience
  • 6+ years of experience as a Contracts or Business Analyst, with a focus on defense or military contracting. Proven track record working with government contracts and familiarity with FAR, DFARS, or other relevant regulations.
  • Proficient in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Power BI) and project management software (e.g., MS Project, Jira).
  • Understanding of financial modeling, cost-benefit analysis, and process mapping.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills

  • Knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) or contract management systems is a plus.
