Job description

Summary/Objective
The Regulatory Assistant will support the Regulatory Department by performing various administrative tasks, including filing, and organizing paperwork and files. Responsibilities will also involve basic computer work, such as downloading PDF files, generating reports, emailing suppliers and data entry. This position will assist the Regulatory Manager in reviewing and updating label copies and specifications to ensure that all information is accurate, meets customer requirements, and complies with government regulations.
Essential Functions
  • Upload and assign documents using SKUsafe Software.
  • Utilize SKUsafe Software to ensure compliance and accuracy of specifications between the system and supplier documentation.
  • Use documentation to indicate supplier updates for review.
  • Develop and review specifications for all bulk products.
  • Assess specifications, packaging, and labeling proofs for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  • Evaluate supplier nutrition and composition information for completeness and adherence to regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety and regulatory requirements concerning labels and specifications.
  • Perform general office duties, including operating a fax machine, answering phones, and utilizing basic computer applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel as needed.
