Position Summary

The Garnishment & Leave Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely administration of employee wage garnishments, child support orders, tax levies, creditor garnishments, and other legally required payroll deductions. This position also coordinates and administers employee leaves of absence, including FMLA, medical leave, personal leave, military leave, and other company- or legally protected leaves.

The Specialist serves as a key resource for employees, Human Resources, Payroll, facility leadership, government agencies, courts, and third-party administrators. The position requires a high level of confidentiality, attention to detail, organization, and knowledge of applicable federal and state regulations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong knowledge of payroll garnishment and deduction procedures.
  • Ability to interpret and follow legal orders and government notices.
  • Understanding of employee leave requirements and documentation.
  • Excellent attention to detail and data-entry accuracy.
