Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (DS) is seeking a Computer Support 2 candidate to join its dynamic team of technical cyber professionals in the Roy, Utah area.

Roles and responsibilities will include:

Provide weekly verification of PC and other peripheral inventory across different networks.

Act as a liaison between various teams in multiple tasking and inventory coordination.

Experience and learn more about cyber security methods and processes.

Utilize inventory database and other tools for accurate and efficient record keeping.

Ideal candidates will possess and demonstrate the following characteristics: able to prioritize and execute tasks in a collaborative team environment within schedules and timelines, strong attention to detail and interpersonal skills, ability to work with minimal supervision, both independently and within a team and have excellent organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills.

Basic Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent with 2 years of additional education and/or experience. US citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain clearance

  • Must have the ability to obtain a DoD Secret level security clearance within a reasonable period as determined by the company and by program and/or customer requirements; maintaining the required security clearance will be a condition of continued employment.

  • The selected candidate will be required to obtain a Special Access Programs (SAP/SAR) clearance within a specific time frame as determined by customer and/or program requirements; maintaining SAP/SAR will be a condition of continued employment.

  • Experience troubleshooting, installing, and configuring Desktops running Windows OS (including Windows 10), as well as the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II baseline certification within 6 months of hire date(example: Security+ CE).

  • The ability to lift 40 pounds.

  • The ability to work after hours and/or weekends as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Have an active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business need.

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field.

  • CompTIA A+, Network+, Dell, HP, or other certification(s).

  • Experience with remote administration.

  • Experience with PowerShell scripting.

  • Experience with zero and/or thin client devices.

  • Experience in Active Directory configuring user and computer accounts.

  • Cross-platform experience (i.e. two or more of the following: Windows, Linux, Solaris, OSX, UNIX, etc.).

  • Experience supporting VMware VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure).

Primary Level Salary Range: $44,400.00 - $74,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
