Health amp; Wellness Admin Staffing Support

Location: Newberg, OR | Schedule: Part-Time, 20 -30 hrs./wk. + on- call duties | Department: Health amp; Wellness
Starting pay: $19.57 - $22.60

About the Role

At Friendsview Retirement Community, we believe in creating a workplace that’s built on integrity, compassion, and community. We're looking for someone who’s organized, calm under pressure, and people-focused to help our Health Services team stay fully staffed and ready to provide top-tier care.

You'll be our go-to person for filling in the gaps when staff call out — especially on evenings, nights, and weekends. If you're a born communicator who’s tech-savvy, proactive, and knows how to keep things running smoothly behind the scenes, you’ll thrive in this role.

What You’ll Do
  • Be on-call for shift coverage needs (evenings/nights/weekends)

  • Help manage Health Services schedules + fill open shifts fast

  • Respond to staff call-ins, document them properly, and follow up with respect and confidentiality

  • Understand (or be willing to learn) laws and policies around protected leave, payroll, and scheduling

  • ‍Help track licenses + certification renewals for staff

  • Support training, orientation, and performance review logistics

  • Keep things organized and documented — but never compromise privacy

What You Bring
  • You’ve got at least 1 year of experience in a healthcare or 24/7 service environment

  • Comfortable with (or willing to learn) digital tools like electronic scheduling, payroll platforms, EMRs, and Microsoft Office

  • Able to balance fairness and efficiency when building and adjusting schedules

  • A natural communicator who can stay calm and professional, even when the pressure’s on

  • Strong judgment and leadership presence — even if you're not managing a team

  • Respect for confidentiality and experience navigating diverse workplace dynamics

Bonus Points If You…
  • Have a degree or training in office administration, health information, or HR

  • Know a thing or two about Oregon’s healthcare/employment laws

  • Are a total team player who lives out servant leadership values

  • Love organization, timelines, and helping others succeed

Important Stuff
  • Must pass a DHS background check, drug screen, and reference checks

  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and provide required documents

  • May need to drive occasionally (valid license + insurance required)

Why Work at Friendsview?

At Friendsview, you're not just filling shifts — you're helping ensure high-quality care for residents who rely on consistency, compassion, and respect. We’re a mission-driven, not-for-profit community with a heart for service and a culture built on trust and teamwork.
