Job description

Adventist Health Columbia Gorge is seeking to add an experienced on-call per diem board eligible/board certified general surgeon to join our General Surgery team. Located 85 miles east of Portland in the majestic Columbia River Gorge, The Dalles features old-growth forests, rushing waterfalls, and year-round access to outdoor recreation, including downhill and cross-country skiing, world-class water sports, and miles of hiking and mountain biking trails.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in rural medicine, works well independently, thrives in a flexible work environment, and has a passion for trauma surgery. As part of a strong and collaborative team of other General Surgeons, ED physicians, hospitalists, and RN's, this individual will cover call as needed.

Education:

  • Active Licensed MD or DO in the state of Oregon
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in area of their specialty
  • Current DEA License
