Primary Responsibilities
  • Design data models and structures that support efficient reporting, dashboards, and analytics use cases.
  • Create semantic layers and data marts optimized for business intelligence consumption.
  • Architect solutions that enable self-service analytics while maintaining governance and security.
  • Design infrastructure to support advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI initiatives.
  • Implement metadata management and data cataloging solutions to improve data discoverability.
  • Design and architect end-to-end data solutions including data ingestion, storage, processing, integration, and consumption layers.
  • Develop comprehensive data architecture blueprints and technical roadmaps aligned with business strategy and analytics requirements.
  • Create reference architectures for data platforms supporting analytics, reporting, and operational use cases.
  • Design solutions that ensure data quality, security, privacy, compliance, and governance across enterprise.
  • Architect data integration solutions across SAP, IFS, BAAN, Quipware and other enterprise applications to create unified data assets.
  • Design and implement data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL/ELT) processes from multiple ERP sources.
  • Develop master data management strategies to ensure data consistency across disparate systems.
  • Create integration patterns for real-time and batch data synchronization between source systems and data platforms.
  • Ensure seamless data flow across manufacturing, supply chain, finance, sales, and customer service domains.
  • Address data quality, reconciliation, and harmonization challenges across heterogeneous systems.
  • Define and implement data governance frameworks including data lineage, metadata management, and data quality rules.
  • Ensure solutions comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards (GDPR, SOX, etc.).
  • Design security architecture including role-based access control, data masking, and audit logging.
  • Establish data retention, archival, and lifecycle management policies.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Information Systems, Finance or related field with at least 10 years related experience in delivering analytics solution in a manufacturing/services industry
    • Non-degree considered if 12+ years of related experience along with a high school diploma or GED
  • Occasional travel (0-5%)

Preferred Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or related roles with increasing responsibility.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience designing and implementing enterprise data solutions.
  • Extensive experience with ERP systems, particularly SAP (SAP ECC, S/4HANA) and/or IFS.
  • Proven track record architecting cloud-based data platforms, preferably on Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or industrial environments
  • Demonstrate success delivering large-scale data integration and migration projects.
  • Experience with additional cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud Platform).
  • Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Data Engineer Associate, or similar.
  • Knowledge of SAP BW/4HANA, SAP Data Services, or SAP Data Intelligence. Experience with IoT data platforms and manufacturing operational technology (OT) systems. Understanding of Industry 4.0, IIoT, and smart manufacturing concepts.

Must live within a reasonable commute of the New Bremen, OH location. Relocation assistance provided.
