INTERNAL POSITION


QUALIFICATIONS

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent  
  2. Experience in related area performing secretarial or general office work in an office with considerable public contact, or an equivalent combination of experience, education and/or training that demonstrates the desired knowledge, skills and abilities
  3. Working knowledge of computer word-processing and Microsoft Office applications, and Google.
  4. Ability to obtain a valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  1. Ability to follow written and/or verbal instructions.
  2. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  3. Ability to demonstrate exceptional customer service skills

  6. Ability to operate computer equipment for email communications, word processing, data management, and other assigned tasks as related to the position.

  9. Utilize, with fidelity, the District Positive Behavior Intervention Support (PBIS) program at the building level.

  11. Ensure information obtained through the course of duties associated with this position, is held in the highest of confidentiality.
  12. Perform all duties in accordance with Federal and State laws, district procedures, and Board policies, including mandatory reporting procedures.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  1. Complete routine clerical duties to include greeting visitors, answering telephones, typing and filing, processing mail, and providing general information relevant to the site.
  2. Respond to inquiries or refer individuals to the appropriate individual/department for information.
  3. Maintain inventory of student, teacher, and office supplies, including transfer to appropriate personnel and shelving of stock, as required.
  4. Assist student helpers, as requested, and operate usual office machines.
  5. Assist the school secretary and principal secretary, as aligned with the duties of the position.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to reach with hands and arms, sit, stand, walk, stoop, and bend as necessary. The employee may lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects weighing a minimum of 10 pounds and could occasionally lift or move up to 20 pounds. The employee will read correspondence and computer screens, and use the telephone.   
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Indoor office environment. This position regularly works indoors. The noise level in the work environment is quiet to moderate and may become excessively noisy at times. Will have substantial contact with parents, students, staff, and the public.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
The Clerk Typist reports to the Principal/Site Administrator. The Clerk Typist will interact cooperatively with all other staff positions. All elements of good human relations will be practiced.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
             INITIAL WAGE PLACEMENT PLAN: Starting at $15.15 per hour
             WORK YEAR:            9 Months / 6 hours per day
