This position is a short term contract Temporary Trainer position with a possibility of extension.  This position is a W-2, salaried position with benefits.

This role will have the following key responsibilities, which include but are not limited to:

  • Conduct individual and group EHR training sessions 
  • Tailor training approaches for clinical, administrative, and technical audiences
  • Provide hands-on instruction in both classroom and live patient care settings
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on the organization’s EHR system
  • Collaborate with IT and EHR Specialists to identify and address user issues or system changes. Maintains an ongoing feedback loop program to gather and address user feedback on training.
  • Works closely with instructional designers to create engaging, competency-based,  and instructionally sound education materials.
  • Provide one-on-one coaching and refresher training as needed
  • Assess user needs and identify training gaps or opportunities for process improvements
  • Work with leadership to align training content with compliance, regulatory, and organizational goals
  • Understands and applies adult learning theories to the development of storyboards for videos and eLearning content.
  • Ensure all EHR use is compliant with HIPAA and other applicable regulations
  • Maintain detailed records of training attendance, completion, and effectiveness
Requirements:

Required Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years of experience training users on EHR systems in a healthcare setting
  • Proficient in Patient Accounting, Registration, Scheduling, Charge Services, ED, Pharmacy or Provider Training
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Health Information Management, Education, or related field (preferred)
  • Proficiency preferred: Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, and Google Workspace, Adobe Acrobat Professional, Articulate 360, Captivate, Dragon, Snip & Sketch, Snipping Tool, Storyline, and various LMS.
  • Strong understanding of HIPAA and healthcare documentation requirements
  • Excellent presentation, facilitation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt training style to different learning preferences and skill levels

Position requires 100% travel.  Preference is for candidates with government clearance, specifically PIV clearance.
