Job description

Benefits:
  • Bonus based on performance
  • Opportunity for advancement
  • Training & development

TGA Premier Sports is hiring energetic, dependable Golf, Tennis, Pickleball, Flag Football, and Cheerleading Coaches to lead after-school enrichment classes for children ages 3–12 throughout North Atlanta and Gwinnett County.
Pre-K teachers, preschool teachers, paraprofessionals, substitute teachers, and early childhood educators with a sports background are especially encouraged to apply!
If you know how to engage young children, manage a group, and make learning fun, your teaching skills can translate perfectly to coaching with TGA.
Applicants should have playing, coaching, or recreational experience in at least one of our five sports: Golf, Tennis, Pickleball, Flag Football, or Cheerleading. Professional coaching experience is not required. We provide training, curriculum, lesson plans, and equipment.
What You'll Do
  • Lead fun, structured sports classes for Pre-K through 6th grade
  • Teach age-appropriate fundamentals using TGA's provided curriculum
  • Create a positive, encouraging, and well-managed environment
  • Help students build skills, confidence, coordination, teamwork, and sportsmanship
  • Set up and clean up equipment
  • Communicate professionally with school staff and the TGA team
Schedule & Locations
This is a very part-time, weekday position that follows the school year from August through May.
Hours: Approximately 1–2 hours per day / 5–8 hours per week
Class times: Generally between 2:00–5:00 PM
No nights or weekends.
Programs are located throughout Sandy Springs, Buckhead, Brookhaven, Johns Creek, Duluth, Norcross, and surrounding areas. Coaches must have reliable transportation and be able to travel to different partner schools throughout the week.
Additional opportunities may be available through camps, additional classes, and special events.
What We're Looking For
  • Experience working with children; Pre-K, preschool, childcare, or elementary experience strongly preferred
  • Playing, coaching, or recreational background in at least one TGA sport: Golf, Tennis, Pickleball, Flag Football, or Cheerleading
  • Strong classroom or group-management skills
  • Reliable transportation and consistent weekday afternoon availability
  • Dependable, energetic, and professional
  • Strong communication and timely responses to the administrative team
  • Ability to lift and transport up to 50 pounds of equipment
  • Comfortable using a smartphone, video-based training, Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Meet
Candidates who can coach multiple TGA sports will receive priority.
Pay & Training
Pay: $18–$25 per hour, based on coaching role, experience, and performance.
New hires typically begin as Assistant Coaches at $18 per hour for their first session. Coaches who demonstrate strong performance, reliability, and commitment may advance to Head Coach positions with higher pay.
Coaches also receive an additional 30 minutes of paid time each class day for setup, cleanup, equipment, and carpool.
Important Requirements
Because our coaches work directly with children on school campuses, all required background checks and school onboarding must be completed.
Partner schools require 90-day hair follicle drug testing, and some schools may require additional testing throughout the year. These requirements are mandatory and cannot be waived.
TGA depends on coaches who can commit to their assigned classes for the entire session. Any known scheduling conflicts must be disclosed before accepting an assignment. Once an assignment is accepted and school onboarding begins, coaches are expected to honor that commitment through the end of the session.
Ready to Apply?
If you're a Pre-K or early childhood educator who also loves sports, this could be a great way to combine both!
