Job description

Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1 year of experience in program management.
  • Experience with Radio Frequency (RF) or antenna testing and characterization using lab equipment (e.g., spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, or signal generators).
  • Experience in software development using C/C , Python, and SQL for automation or robotics control.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience with regulatory processes and requirements for wireless consumer products, such as 3GPP, FCC, and CTIA.
  • Experience with wireless communication standards and implementation (including but not limited to 5GNR, LTE, GNSS, and 802.1).
  • Experience developing clear test plans to evaluate performance, identify the root cause of any discrepancies, and troubleshoot problems with devices and test platforms.
  • Ability to be an influential member of a highly integrated team composed of both technical and non-technical members.

As a Technical Program Manager for Carrier RF OTA System, you will leverage your expertise in Radio Frequency (RF) debugging and testing across technologies like 4G (LTE), 5G (NR), Wi-Fi, and GNSS. You will be directly involved in cross-functional team collaboration and facilitate carrier lab operations. You will develop and execute test plans, deliver US carrier reports, and maintain key carrier relationships to ensure Pixel and Wearable devices meet Google's high quality and performance standards throughout their lifecycle.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate closely with Modem Systems, Antenna, RF, and Software teams to deliver high-quality Pixel products.
  • Develop test plans for mobile devices and validate LTE and NR system performance in conducted and Over-The-Air (OTA) test environments.
  • Execute and manage US carrier RF OTA certification and customer test site validation throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Drive debugging sessions, verification of test results, and report delivery to ensure products meet carrier standards.
  • Identify and establish automatic methodologies to enhance existing practices and improve testing efficiency.
