Description

Quantum Sky is searching for a highly technical Software Developer who thrives at the intersection of software engineering, cloud infrastructure and solution architecture. This role will work directly with stakeholders to understand complex technical challenges, design cloud-native solutions, build production-ready software, and deploy scalable systems that deliver immediate business value.

This role requires someone with demonstrated experience in solving ambiguous problems, formulating solution alternatives assisted with AI-based acceleration techniques and rapid development & delivering secure, reliable software on modern cloud platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with stakeholders to understand mission objectives, technical requirements, and operational constraints.
  • Design and implement cloud-native solutions using Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Build production-quality backend services, APIs, and automation workflows.
  • Develop serverless, containerized, and event-driven applications using native cloud services.
  • Build secure, scalable infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or equivalent).
  • Deploy production workloads on Kubernetes and managed container platforms.
  • Implement cloud-native observability, monitoring, logging, and incident response capabilities.
  • Design resilient, multi-region architectures with high availability and disaster recovery.
  • Work with security teams to implement cloud security best practices and compliance controls (FedRAMP, NIST, CIS, SOC 2, ISO 27001).
  • Work closely with stakeholders, product teams, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Lead technical discussions, architecture reviews, and implementation planning. 
Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of software engineering experience building production systems.
  • Experience designing distributed cloud applications on AWS or GCP.
  • Strong programming experience in one or more of:
    • Go
    • Python
    • Java
    • JavaScript
    • Node.js
    • React
  • Experience developing applications using serverless computing, managed databases, messaging, and event-driven architectures
  • Experience building cloud-native applications using containers and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or similar tools.
  • Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
  • Experience with event-driven architectures using Kafka or similar technologies.
  • Experience with Docker and containerized applications.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
  • Ability to work independently in fast-paced environments with demonstrated skills with AI-assisted code generation, automated testing & validation, red-teaming and agent orchestration
  • Experience implementing secure cloud environments that meet FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST, or similar compliance frameworks.
  • Experience integrating LLM's into applications, prompt engineering, AI-assisted software development, and workflow automation
  • Candidates should have experience with AWS, GCP, or equivalent cloud technologies, including many of the following:
    • AWS: Lambda, Step Functions, SNS, SQS, EventBridge, DynamoDB, Aurora, RDS, ECS, EKS, CloudWatch, OpenSearch, IAM, Secrets Manager, Systems Manager, KMS, CloudFormation, CodeBuild, CodePipeline

    • GCP: Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Workflows, Pub/Sub, Eventarc, Firestore, Bigtable, CloudSQL, GKE, CloudMonitoring, Cloud Logging, OpenSearch on GCP, Cloud IAM, Secret Manager, Cloud KMS, Terraform, Cloud Build, Cloud Deploy

Desired:

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect and/or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect certification.
  • Experience operating Kubernetes clusters on Amazon EKS and/or Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
  • Experience integrating AI services such as Amazon Bedrock, Vertex AI, Gemini, Claude, or OpenAI APIs into enterprise applications.
  • Experience with OpenSearch, Splunk, or New Relic.
  • Experience with GitHub Copilot, Anthropic Claude, OpenAI or other AI-assisted development tools.

  • Compensation is unique to each candidate and relative to the skills and experience they bring to the position. The salary range for this position is typically between $150,000-$170,000. This does not guarantee a specific salary as compensation is based upon multiple factors such as education, experience, certifications, and other requirements, and may fall outside of the above-stated range.
