POSITION SUMMARY:
The Marketing Data Analyst supports B2B and B2C marketing decision-making by analyzing email, SMS, and GA4 website performance data to identify trends, explain campaign results, and recommend optimization opportunities. This role partners with marketers and analytics teammates to define measurement needs, connect campaign engagement to digital behavior, and translate complex data into clear, actionable insights. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, comfortable working across multiple data sources, and able to communicate findings in a way that helps marketers make informed decisions.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Work independently and with members of the marketing analytics team to develop and validate email/SMS marketing audience definitions, provide email campaign tracking & KPI planning and reporting support
  • Partner with marketing, analytics, and IT teams to connect key data points that guide B2B and B2C marketing decisions based on email/SMS click engagement data through web journeys, operational metrics, and input from digital marketing analysts to support measurement planning and reporting
  • Design and maintain dashboards that monitor full-funnel engagement across digital properties, email and SMS campaigns, tracking activity and contact movement through B2B and B2C journeys
  • Extract reports from multiple sources (e.g., Salesforce Sales Cloud, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Google Analytics, and NMDP data warehouse(s)) to deliver campaign measurement plans
  • Track year-over-year performance pacing and progress against goals
  • Measure effectiveness across different persona segments
  • Apply analytical rigor to assess campaign effectiveness and identify opportunities for optimization
  • Support marketing teams in benchmarking performance against global and niche industry standards
  • Stay informed on industry trends and emerging technologies
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • This is a hybrid opportunity requiring onsite team and other collaboration meetings on a monthly basis at our WHQ in downtown Minneapolis.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Proven experience as a Marketing Data Analyst or similar data analyst role
  • Experience analyzing email marketing performance metrics such as sends, deliveries, opens, clicks, unsubscribes, conversions, and engagement trends
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, charts, vlookup, etc.).
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and other applications in the Microsoft Office suite
  • Familiarity with data warehouse platforms like Snowflake or AWS and data visualization tools (e.g., Looker, SF DataCloud, PowerBI, or Tableau)
  • Familiarity with Salesforce Marketing Cloud and/or Salesforce CRM or similar tools
  • Familiarity with GA4 or similar tools
  • Familiarity with GTM or similar tools
  • Superb communication skills
  • Ability to synthesize data into business-facing insights and recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple requests, clarify ambiguous needs, and follow through on deliverables.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Sales, Computer Science or Quantitative discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a Marketing Data analyst role

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: (Additional qualifications that may make a person even more effective in the role, but are not required for consideration)
  • Experience with Google GA4, Data Studio (formerly Looker Studio), or Looker platforms
  • Experience with Salesforce Einstein, Datorama reporting, Salesforce Interaction Studio
  • Experience with sFTP systems (e.g., WinSCP and/or FileZilla)
  • Experience with project management tools such as Jira and/or Asana
