Learning Partner - Tutor


George Walton Academy (GWA) provides challenging instruction, engaging experiences, and global perspectives designed to inspire lives of intellectual curiosity, integrity, and purpose. GWA is an independent, Pre-K-12, independent, college-preparatory school located on 61 beautiful acres in Monroe, Georgia, less than one hour from the state capitol of Atlanta.

George Walton Academy seeks tutors who are available as needed during the school day to support students across all divisions and academic classes.

Position Overview

A Learning Partner at George Walton Academy works closely with the individual student to provide tutoring support during a scheduled study hall time slot. These are part time, independent contractor positions that do not qualify for benefits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized instruction based on each student's learning needs and goals.
  • Reinforce classroom content by reteaching concepts, reviewing assignments, and helping with practice work.
  • Break down complex skills into manageable steps and explain concepts clearly.
