Position Overview This role offers first-line IT support to healthcare staff, physicians, and patients within a regional healthcare network in the Pacific Northwest. The position involves troubleshooting, resolving, and escalating hardware, software, telecom, and network issues to ensure smooth technology operations.
Key Responsibilities - Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to unit safety and infection control standards.
- Respond promptly to IT support requests via calls, tickets, and emails, prioritizing and resolving issues efficiently.
- Engage with end users to diagnose problems and implement effective solutions.
- Perform installations, upgrades, and relocations of IT equipment.
- Configure new computers, laptops, phones, and peripheral devices.
- Complete assigned IT-related tasks and participate in rotational on-call coverage.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies through training, seminars, and subscriptions.
- Communicate trends, resolved issues, and delays clearly to stakeholders.
- Foster positive relationships and maintain a professional image by adhering to service standards.
Qualifications - Experience with Windows Active Directory is required.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Exchange and proficiency in MS Office and Outlook are essential.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP and the OSI model is necessary.
- Knowledge of server/client infrastructure, virtualization, VDI, thin client environments, and enterprise antivirus solutions is required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse groups.
Education - High school diploma or GED is required.
- Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician certification or equivalent education and experience is mandatory.
Preferred Certifications - A+, MCITP, or CCENT certifications are preferred.
