Job description

Company Description ALNX provides IT support services to a range of companies in the San Francisco Bay and Silicon Valley Areas. In 2026 the company expanded its operations to include work space design, with an underlying goal of increasing workplace comforts and employeesโ€™ levels of productivity. ALNX has a tall order for its contract hires. They are to be part of a small team of highly agile, reliable, super intelligent, and design oriented IT Specialists.


The company seeks contract Information Technology Support Specialists who can fulfill clientโ€™s work orders. These orders may range from a few hours to more than three weeks, and include things ranging from running data lines to helping design one off AV solutions.


The Specialist should have a solid experience with proactive monitoring, basic network and connectivity troubleshooting, and related work. He or she should also expect assignments that require one to work alone or with a small group.


ALNX values its customers and seeks to distinguish itself by maintaining respectful and professional relationships with them. It expects the same from each IT Specialist.


Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong Technical Support and Help Desk Support skills, including experience handling user tickets and service requests.
  • Candidates should possess solid Troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
  • Candidates should possess a foundational understanding of Information Technology concepts, systems, and security best practices.
  • Experience with Windows and/or macOS environments, productivity applications (e.g., Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace), and basic network support is beneficial.
  • Strong customer service orientation, clear verbal and written communication, and the ability to work both on-site and remotely are required.
  • Relevant certifications (such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar) and prior experience in a corporate or managed services environment are advantageous.
  • Proficiencies in Linux is a plus.
