DISHWASHER
Tri-Village has an opening for a Part Time Food Service:
Position: Dishwasher
Range of pay: $15.19 - $18.84
Hours: 10:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Reports To: Food Service Supervisor
Employment Status: Part - Time
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School Diploma, or equivalent
  • Training and/or experience which evidences an ability to wash, clean and store eating and cooking utensils and to prepare the same for serving lunches.
  • Must be trained in food safety, sanitation, and preparation consistent with county and state Board of Health regulations
  • Must pass criminal background check including fingerprinting.
  • Has demonstrated regular attendance.
  • Demonstrates a sincere desire to aid students.
  • Good health and high moral character
  • Ability to e?ectively communicate tactfully and courteously and work harmoniously with students, parents, and district personnel.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Under general supervision of the Food Service Supervisor, washes, cleans, and stores eating and cooking utensils; de-limes dishwasher and maintains a clean room.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Safely operates institutional dishwasher and uses dish detergent to clean and sanitize dishes, silverware, and glasses.
  • Takes out cardboard boxes daily, when needed.
  • Records dishwasher temperature daily.
  • Scrapes, washes, stacks, and puts away clean trays, on both sides.
  • Washes and puts away all pots, pans and utensils, on both sides.
  • Takes out trash at the end of the day.
  • Drains the dishwashing machine DAILY and cleans the drains.
  • De-limes and cleans the dishwasher bi-weekly.
  • Follows all safety and sanitary requirements of the lunchroom area.
  • Assist in maintaining kitchen and kitchen equipment in a clean and sanitary manner following heath department regulations.
  • Reports all broken utensils to the Food Service Supervisor.
  • Reports accidents and potential hazards to Food Service Supervisor.
  • As required by the USDA; must be have 4 hours of continuing education per year.
  • Must mop the entire kitchen at the end of the day, DAILY.
  • Clean bathroom bi-weekly.

CLASSIFICATION SPECIFICATIONS
DISHWASHER
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Operates garbage disposal.
  • May fill in for the head cook, assistant cook or cashier in their absence.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Food Service Supervisor.
  • Regularly checks emails.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of: Board policies and procedures,; federal, state, and local food, health safety, and sanitation requirements; Google Suite (email, spreadsheets, etc); Kiosk; legal responsibilities as related to FERPA and HIPPA.
Ability to: interpret policies, procedures, and regulations; clean, sanitize and store eating and cooking utensils; follow instructions; read and write; lift up to 50 pounds, and move a distance of 30 feet; develop e?ective working relationships.
Skill in: dishwasher operations and POS System.
