Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in solution engineering and stakeholder management, professional services, or technical consulting.
  • Experience in system architecture and reading code (e.g., Python).

Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience managing relationships with (or directly working with) external partners/clients.

About the job
As a Flights Solution Consultant, you will be responsible for the end-to-end technical relationship between our Travel Flights products and our partners. You will act as the critical connective tissue between partners, Flights Enterprise Engineering, and Google Cloud teams. In this role, you will drive a "Flywheel" effect where enterprise growth and consumer search data quality are mutually reinforcing: high-quality airline data gathered via enterprise partnerships ensures Google Flights remains the best search experience, which in turn establishes the travel industry "beachhead" that drives further Cloud consumption and business.
You will maintain the end-to-end technical relationship while partnering closely with embedded Google Cloud Consulting team members to deliver seamless support and innovation. You will provide project management and consultative support, influencing product strategy and the development of scalable tools. You will also work closely with internal teams and vendor operations to streamline business processes, develop detailed documentation, and increase the overall efficiency of how we implement and support our products for some of our most partners.

Responsibilities
  • Work with Google Cloud customers and Google Flights Solutions Engineers to define project deliverables and develop detailed project plans for our airline partners. Track progress against the project plans, identify dependencies and potential roadblocks, and mitigate risk to ensure successful deliveries.
  • Drive the gathering and documentation of customer requirements, along with the authoring and obtaining agreement on these documents.
  • Manage troubleshooting and resolution of integration-related issues, work closely with technical teams to resolve issues, and provide high touch support for our airline partners.
  • Coordinate closely with internal teams to provide feedback to Product, Sales, and related teams on opportunities to improve product design.
  • Optimize airline partners' relationship with Google to aid in onboarding, new feature notification, and work to drive increase in adoption rates and partner quality.
