Job Description Job Title: Senior Data Engineer (Teradata / Ab Initio / BigQuery) Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid) 3 days in Office, 2 Remote Duration: 12-month contract (potential to extend) Rate: Competitive Overview We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer with strong experience in Teradata, Ab Initio ETL, and cloud data platforms to support large-scale enterprise data initiatives. This role will focus on data engineering, ETL development, and cloud migration, working across complex datasets to deliver scalable, high-performance data solutions. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain ETL pipelines using Ab Initio Work extensively with Teradata for data processing, modeling, and optimization Develop and optimize advanced SQL queries for large-scale data environments Support migration and integration with cloud platforms, including Google BigQuery Build and maintain data pipelines for enterprise data solutions Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven solutions Ensure data quality, integrity, and performance optimization Support deployment automation and DevOps practices in cloud environments Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to sprint deliverables Required Qualifications 7+ years of experience in software engineering or data engineering 7+ years of experience working with Teradata 5+ years of experience with Ab Initio ETL development 5+ years of experience with advanced SQL 5+ years of experience with cloud computing platforms 3+ years of experience with Google BigQuery Preferred Qualifications 5+ years of experience with Spark, PySpark, or Python 3+ years of experience with DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud deployment automation 3+ years of experience working in Agile environments Strong understanding of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Cloud certifications (GCP, AWS, or Azure) Experience working in large enterprise or regulated environments Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Key Skills & Traits Strong data engineering and ETL expertise Excellent SQL and data analysis capabilities Ability to work with large, complex datasets Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills Ability to present complex data insights clearly Proven ability to manage and resolve complex data challenges.
