ABOUT THE ROLE

The Freight Administrator ensures the integrity of the information in SAP as it pertains to freight. The administrator must maintain a strong working relationship and open communication with carriers, sales teams, logistics/distribution team and plant operations personnel to assist and support the following key activities: A) Maintain carrier rates and fuel surcharge up to date in SAP; B) Manage shipment cost corrections and carrier payment reconciliations; C) Validate and process waiting time and accessorial charges in SAP;  D) Manage the Unbilled report and work with other teams to ensure that month-end targets are maintained.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Works towards individual and department Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Surveys customers to gage service improvements and improvement opportunities, acts promptly on results.
  • Balance time between inbound and initiating outbound calls while maintaining customer service level requirements, including availability to customers.
  • Customer satisfaction, including the ability to provide a professional experience to the customer.
  • Follow-up, resolve issues and call back customers within appropriate time frame.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Ensure that teamwork and professionalism are integral part of all activities.
  • Follows the standard operating procedures for department.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviours.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Education: University degree or equivalent experience
Field of Study Preferred:
Business, administration, accounting
Required Work Experience:
1 to 3 years of experience in a Customer Service positions or accounting

Required Technical Skills: Strong computer literacy, including SAP, Microsoft and Google Suite, an asset.

Travel Requirements: 5%

Additional Requirements:

  • Incumbent must be bilingual, English and French spoken and written, mandatory.
  • Understanding of supply chain management, an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to interface effectively with intermediate levels of management (Directors through end users)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrate strong skills in problem solving, decision making and multi-tasking.
  • Time management skills including the ability to redefine priorities based on demand.
  • Detail oriented
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
