As a remote Mental Health Counselor working with Goodwin Mental Health Center, you will enjoy the flexibility of managing your schedule while providing care to clients from the comfort of their own homes or in-person in our outpatient office setting. • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of clients to identify their mental health concerns, utilizing tools such as standardized tests and structured interviews.
• Develop tailored treatment plans based on individualized assessments, integrating evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and other modalities suited to client needs.
• Provide individual therapy sessions via telehealth platforms, catering to clients who prefer virtual support due to accessibility issues or personal preference.
• Establish and monitor therapeutic goals collaboratively with clients, regularly reviewing progress and adjusting treatment approaches to optimize effectiveness.
• Document client interactions and treatment progress accurately and promptly, adhering to ethical guidelines and regulatory standards to maintain professional integrity.
• Participate in continuous professional development through workshops, webinars, and peer consultations to stay informed about best practices in mental health care.

Our client population is diverse, encompassing individuals from various backgrounds and age groups dealing with a range of mental health issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. • A valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) is required.
• A Bachelor’s or higher degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is essential.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to create a safe, trusting environment for clients.

• Experience in providing teletherapy services or using digital platforms for client interaction is preferred, but not mandatory.
• A background in working with specific populations, such as children, adolescents, or trauma survivors, may be beneficial.
