Job Summary:

Supports a welcoming environment for staff and guests, while maintaining focus on access control and risk mitigation. Maintains a strong partnership with staff of all levels. Understands operational procedures and deters, investigates and reports acts of breached access, fraud, risk, threats and theft within established customer service guidelines and security protocols.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide timely, courteous, and knowledgeable assistance to staff and guests.
  • Maintain a clean, professional and welcoming presence in and around the front reception or designated service areas.
  • Engage with and verify guests, offer support, answer questions, and create a positive and helpful environment.
  • Observe and report any suspicious behavior or critical incidents to the Loss Prevention Manager.
  • Maintains and controls guests and employee access with the use of sign in logs, ID badges, and access control.
  • Accepts and directs phone calls appropriately.
  • Maintains a proper and professional presence in the designated work area.
  • Documents required incidents in the incident portal.
  • Promotes and maintains safety awareness and a safe working environment.
  • Performs opening and closing safety sweeps of designated areas.

Other Job Functions:

  • Additional tasks as assigned.
  • Maintains an effective partnership with Loss Prevention Management and other team members to accomplish work assignments and overall goals and objectives.
  • Promotes a culture of honesty and integrity; maintains confidentiality.
  • Follows through on commitments; accomplishes goals with minimum supervision.
  • Prioritizes/organizes workload and manages time effectively.
  • Wear a complete Goodwill approved uniform.
  • Adheres to all Goodwill Policies and Procedures.

Educational Requirements:

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED
  • Successful completion of Goodwill’s Career Academy unarmed private security training, or similar certification required.

Other Requirements:

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Must maintain compliance with Goodwill’s Drug and Alcohol Abuse Policy.
  • A minimum of one (1) year security and/or loss prevention experience is required; with retail industry preferred.
  • Must be able to sit or stand for up to 10 hours a day.
  • Must be able to perform site security sweeps as indicated.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
  • Commitment to the mission and values of Goodwill Industries of Tulsa.
