Job description

Partner with retail team members in a high-energy, fast-paced environment to perform a variety of critical supply chain responsibilities that will never be boring. Together, you’ll sort, process, and prepare donated merchandise for display and sale in our 21 area retail stores.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Sort items on a conveyor belt and load the items from machines to totes, carts, gaylord’s and dollies in a timely manner.
2. Places non-sellable merchandise in the appropriate waste containers.
3. Maintains a pace at which one is able to meet daily quota for pieces processed
4. Follows good safety and security practices including reporting safety hazards and injuries to the manager on duty.
5. Keeps the work area clean and organized at all times.
6. Other duties as assigned.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Assist with warehouse cleanup/organizing as needed.
2. Maintains a professional appearance adhering to Goodwill uniform standards
3. Provides excellent service to Goodwill’s donors and retail customers
4. Performs other duties as directed

Supervisory Responsibility:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.


Required Qualifications:
1. A minimum of six months of previous work experience in a warehouse environment
2. Ability to perform basic math
3. Ability to read, write, and comprehend basic instruction
4. Ability to effectively communicate verbally with other associates
5. Ability to perform continuous walking, stooping, standing, bending, lifting, kneeling and climbing for prolonged periods of time (up to 7 hours – per 8 hour shift)
6. Ability to work in a fast paced environment
7. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds frequently


Preferred Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. Previous experience working in a warehouse environment
4. Previous experience working with sorting merchandise
5. Basic computer skills
6. Multilingual with fluency in English
