Job description

POSITION SUMMARY: Clean and categorize donated goods to ready them for distribution and presentation in stores. Tag appropriate items using the POS tagging system.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

No experience required

QUALIFICATIONS / SPECIFIC SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE:

· Ability to operate POS tagging system

· Must be able to read and write

· Must be able to follow verbal instructions

· Relate appropriately and positively with co-workers

· Must be able to safely handle, lift and carry items

· Maneuver carts and containers filled with clothing and materials

· Must have good vision and use of hands in sorting

· Stooping and bending required

· Standing for extended periods of time

· Some weekend work required


RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

(E) – Essential function of job duties

· Examine items for defects & sort based on whether the item can be sold or must be discarded. (E)

· Clean and perform final sort on various items (E)

· Appropriately price items based on condition, market value and Goodwill’s pricing rules (E)

· Expertly and efficiently operate tagger computer system. Print tags and attach to items using appropriate placement (E)

· Use appropriate containers, carts, barrels and racks to separate items (E)

· Follow safety protocols at all times and especially when using equipment in the warehouse. (E)

· Safely operate equipment which you have been properly trained to use. (E)

· Operate efficiently and stay on task to meet or exceed established goals. (E)

· Maintain workspace in accordance with Goodwill procedures and safety protocols. (E)

· Adhere to all company policies, procedures & practices (E)

· Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor
