Reports to: Missy Hanson / Store Manager
Location: Canby C-Store
Pay Range: $12.00 – $16.00

Position Summary
The Part-Time Convenience Store Associate plays a key role in delivering exceptional customer service while supporting the daily operations of the store. This position assists with cashier/till operations, food and beverage preparation, stocking, cleaning, and maintaining a safe, welcoming environment for customers. Additional responsibilities may include supporting deli operations based on business needs and scheduling requirements.
Duties amp; Responsibilities
Key Area amp; Tasks
Customer Service
Greet customers in a friendly, professional, and helpful manner
Provide prompt service and assist customers with questions or needs
Promote current store specials, promotions, and Farmward Rewards offerings
Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment
Cashier amp; Store Operations
Accurately operate the cash register/POS system
Process cash, credit card, and mobile payment transactions
Stock shelves, coolers, and displays
Monitor inventory levels and communicate low-stock items to management
Food amp; Beverage Support
Prepare and serve deli and foodservice items as assigned
Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures
Maintain coffee, fountain, and hot food areas
Ensure food displays are clean, stocked, and customer ready
Cleaning amp; Store Appearance
Maintain cleanliness inside and outside the store
Clean counters, floors, restrooms, and foodservice areas
Assist with maintaining fuel pump and exterior cleanliness
Help support overall store presentation and aesthetics
Teamwork amp; Culture
Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and operational standards
Work cooperatively with store leadership and fellow team members
Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Qualifications amp; Requirements
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in retail, food service, or customer service is preferred, but not required
  • Ability to quickly learn and operate POS systems and follow store procedures
Additional Requirements
  • Must be available to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 40 lbs.
  • Must maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude
