Job description

Security Position

This position is responsible for the security and prevention of theft at all entrances at designated stores; has responsibility for the execution and enforcement of all company policies at all CURACAO stores; uses various types of equipment and techniques: enforces, secures, helps customers or employees with basic store questions; physically stands at designated entrances to enforce company policies and to provide customer service if appropriate; report on suspicious activities internal or external to Loss Prevention management.

This position reports directly to the Operations Manager except for cases of external or internal theft, they report to Loss Prevention Management.

Essential Duties

  • Provide excellent customer service with a smile while verifying customer and employee supply receipts at the door.
  • Enforce entrance and exit policies.
  • Report suspicious activity (internal or external) to Loss Prevention management.
  • Assist store management during opening and closing procedures.
  • Assist store management during emergency situations
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Position Qualifications

Seeking candidates with professional presence and confident communication skills who can remain calm and assertive in challenging situations. In addition, the candidate must be able to physically intervene or restrain individuals when necessary to ensure safety.

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Must have guard card
  • Minimum 6 months of security experience
  • Bilingual English and Spanish
  • May require ability to lift heavy objects and equipment weighing up to 35 pounds.
  • Requires ability to walk, stand, stoop, crawl, kneel, climb, and push/pull objects.
  • Knowledge of the Power of Arrest and detainment required.
  • Valid government issued ID for police reports and court purposes
