Position Title
Mastectomy FitterWestwood Medical Pavilion - WestPosition Summary / Career Interest:The certified mastectomy fitter will help build a successful Appearance Center. The mastectomy fitter will help Cancer Patients and Survivors reclaim their self-image and self-confidence, through their responsibilities and their passion for others. Engaged in helping support Missys' Boutique and the hospital's mission.

Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions

  • Help patients and survivors overcome the obstacles in appearance caused by treatments or surgery.
  • Provide service and select products designed for the patient's needs.
  • Ensure that all areas of the center runs smooth and effectively by assisting all those that visit and volunteer.
  • Helping the manager achieve the goals necessary to build a successful appearance center.
  • Computer skills/able to understand all aspects of Retail Software.
  • Compassionate/Dependable/Good Listening skills. Works to secure Patient/Customer satisfaction.
  • Good Retail skills.
  • Polished, professional in Appearance.
  • Love of patients and interaction with patients, family members and loved ones.
  • Self-Starter/Independent thinker.
  • Enthusiastic and Motivated.
  • Attend Trade shows, Health Fairs, Other promotional functions when necessary.
  • Help with Year-end Inventory.
  • Willing to receive on-going education and training.
  • Able to perform opening and closing when necessary.
  • Flexible with the work shift.
  • Work effectively with Manager and Volunteers.
  • Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.

Required Education and Experience

  • High School Graduate
  • retail experience, computer knowledge, and self motivated


Required Licensure and Certification

  • Certified Mastectomy Fitter - American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics & Pedorthics (ABCOP) within 1 Year


Knowledge Requirements

  • Computer literate, comfortable with computer, retail sales, and credit card machine.
  • Able to do manual tickets in case of computer problems - totaling sales receipt and taxes.
